Day 11 - Making dent in the Universe

Making a dent in the universe.
I was anxious thinking on how to do it. Im thinking I need to do great things that nobody has done before or I need to be famous and have lots of money or anything that is huge to the eye of the public, all this crazy thoughts poping out in my mind.

Then I ask this question to myself , how can I do that?

One author said it doesn’t mean you need to make huge effort. It’s just that your efforts need to feel valuable. In business you want your customers to say, “This makes my life better.”
You want to feel that if you stopped doing what you do, people would notice.

So it doesn’t mean you need to have it huge, its only takes you an idea that is valuable and can help others.
It only takes you a little more squeezing on your brain juices for ideas.

And right now I’m already excited, on our project this may not sound huge but I know this will make a dent in the universe. And I always believe everyone of us can make a difference.

And I believe in myself.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Day 10 Good enough is fine.

Is this statement agreeable to you?
I really don’t conform to this statement I always want to have the best.
I always want the aahs and oohs to my work. However I realize the more I want to perfect things the more I stretch on time. The result is late and time wasted.

I will site a good example. I’m a designer by profession during my wedding lots of my friend offer a free video coverage and photography, which I’m lucky enough to have them.
But I told them I want all raw files don’t make any post editing on it, cause in my mind as a designer I want the best so I want to do it myself. (acting like a hero)

Then days come the files are already in my hand. My wife was excited and me too im very excited to have a personal touch on it.

Day 1 gather all images conceptualize and start layouting.
Day 2 still working on the layout,
Day 3 oops! Seems I don’t like the direction on my concept I want more cutting edge.
Day 4 redo my concepts.
Day 5 thinking how to have a cool and amazing concept just for experiment.
Day 6 since I want to have a very cool and perfect design I stop, and you know what,, Day 7 and counting I study and keep looking for more resources and other inspiration to finish my work.

Until such time every page I made spend me lots of hours even days in order to perfect it. And until today im still working on it. But the good thing is I learned from it.

Then this statement Good enough is fine made me nod hmmm its good.
From the book Rework they said, “Problems can usually be solved with simple, mundane solutions. That means there’s no glamorous work. You don’t get to show off your amazing skills. You just build something that gets the job done and then move on. This approach may not earn you ohhs and aahs, but it lets you get on with it.”

See when good enough gets the job done, go for it. I’ts way better than wasting resources or, even worse, doing nothing because you cant afford the complex solution. And remember, you can usually turn good enough into great later.

Day 9 - My little Cainomhe

Last July 1, 2010 my baby girl was born. It was by far the most amazing and happiest thing that’s ever happened to me. I’ve been able to do some cool things in my life and have some cool stuff but the first time I heard her cry and saw her smile by far the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me.

My wife and I are very blessed. Everything is going great.

When I’m in the office I’m always looking forward to get home and spend time with her.
This really amaze me, how can something so small create your heart to feel so much love.

We’re very, very, very proud of everything that’s going on and I’m looking forward to this part of my life.

Day 8 – Working on the Ideas

I used to spend most of my time on the minor things rather than major things in life.
The result of course is not surprising; right now I’m focusing my time and effort on major things that can bring me to what I really want in my life. At the same time I can do what I always desire, to help other who is in need.

I made a decision to push all my ideas and do all I can to make it realize. And I’m so blessed to meet people who also has the desires to make things happen rather than waiting on it to happen.

Right now were are heading to our goal, were making progress, step by step we move until we can see the fruit of our labor.

Day 7- Viral loop

I was given a book by my mentor it’s called Viral loop and its very interesting, reading stories of people creating ideas that with out knowing it will become viral.

People will just talk about it and spread it, the good thing about this the more viewers you have and the more traffic on your site leads you to more opportunities and earn a lot of money.

Isn’t it great!

But it’s not easy to create something that would instantly hit on the public.
But if you really want to create this, you need to consider things which I think can help you achieve it.

I just found steps on how to build a viral loop, this is not very detail but it shows what are the basic steps.

First you must, plan and think through, step-by-step how a user will come to find their product or react to the idea, and how they will ultimately pass it along to their friends.

Then second is the implementation part. The best advice is to follow agile development models and to build the smallest number of features and pages to create the initial flow of pages.

Third is the launching part, this is the time you need to do something that would steal traffic on the net.

Fourth is optimization as you get a flow of incoming traffic, this allows you to deeply optimize the experience.

Then next and final step is the refinement of the viral loop system you have, making it more user friendly.

Day 6- I’m not alone

No man or woman is an island.
Success absolutely cannot be achieved alone.

We are very familiar with this old adage.  However, somehow we did not capitalize it.
We sometimes think that we don’t need help from other people. Sometimes we think that we can do better when were alone.
But we must not forget that two heads are always better than one.

I’ve been happy for the past couple of days since I started joining the mastermind group. I just realize that you can be more effective in everything you want to do if you collaborate and ask help.

I always want to have an advertising company.  It’s one of my big dreams in life. I started this idea a couple years ago.  I have the skills and the motivation for this dream. However, it did not materialize. Somehow there is something that I need to learn on how to start this business.

Almost everyday I think on this advertising business.  What happened, I end up working as a freelance on one of the advertising company. Not good, I'm still employed.

But the best thing is, I found the mastermind group.  I was able to connect the right person who is 100% committed to help. And not only that, they are also the right guys. (You dig…)

And now we're very excited to finish what we have started.  With the brilliant idea of my mentor plus the help of the team, there's almost no chance that this won't be a great fight... :)

Day 5- God will provide.

Every other day of my life is always a great experience from family, work, colleagues, to business ideas.

Today I’m so bless when I open my email and saw my clients already sent me money on our previous transaction.

Praise GOD he knows my need, of course god knows it before we knew it but I just want to validate it.

And now I can say that my online business is now working. At first I did not consider this as a business, I consider this as a freelance work or an extra work that’s put money on my pocket.

Because I spend hours and hours working on it, and I just feel I extended my working hours at the office.

But now I’ve learned to manage it, I’m no longer work personally on it. And now I can consider it as a business.

The good thing about it, I have still time to focus on my goal and other things that needs my presence.

Day 4- Be the right guy!

I’m very excited on what’s going on with my life right now. Not to mention my wife is about to give birth on our first baby.

I can’t explain what I feel, im so excited to see how our baby look like hehehe….

And aside on the fact that im going to become a father it also inspired me thinking of new opportunities in my life.

Anyway everything we see and think is an opportunity except on how you look at it.

But for me I’m in the right place and in the right time of my life to push on my goal.

But being in that position is not enough, you need to be the right guy.

Because even when your in the right time and place but you don’t care about it it’s still useless.

I must be the right guy in order to succeed.

Day 2 – Re Draw your financial blueprints

Why do some people seem to achieve wealth effortlessly while others work just as hard but still struggle financially?

Have you ever ask this question to your self?
I did… in fact I did ask this so many times, why?

I been reading a book that help me answer this question and it really helps me to understand why this circumstances happened.

In general it falls down to our mind setting on how we conditioned it.

As we were born from our mother and start to learn, our mindset is basically set on how our parents configure it or in other words how our parents taught us.

Our parents are the one giving us the blueprints in life that serves us our detailed guide.
It maybe about love, education, values, finances and etc.
Imagine when we became parents it’s a huge responsibility huh…

And on my part my parent leaves a good blueprint, which I think that’s for some reason I achieve something to be proud of.

However with regards to financial blueprints they leave me a not so detailed or maybe an unfinished blueprint.

My financial blueprint are vague, and that’s what im been using… Not good!

Imagine you were preparing to build your ideal home. You contract an architect who presents you with a set of plans. Unfortunately, the plans are not at all what you had in mind. Would you go ahead and build the house anyway hoping that somehow the builders would miraculously be able to follow these plans and still come up with your ideal home?

Of course not! Until you change those architectural blueprints so that they are congruent with the image you have of your ideal home you will never be able to construct your ideal home. Similarly, until you alter your financial blueprint, the level of income you earn will not change significantly.

So it’s time re draw my financial blueprints, and hopefully my blueprints can also help other who wants to be financially successful.

Day 1 - Renew Your Mind

It’s always been my question on what’s the secret of the millionaires mind.
And sometimes I laugh at myself thinking of the movie kung fu panda when his father told him the secret ingredients he said “
the secret of the secret ingredients is no secret.” is this holds true to our lives?
Lets find out...

I believe that our scroll of life is no secret on it. GOD made it clear in his promises on each and everyone of us.
He will give us hope, prosperity and a future. But why were not still enjoying his promises if its true we are all millionaires then.
Yeah why?

The answer is GOD is GOOD that he gave more, he gave us FREEDOM..
He gave us freedom to think.

Ahhh... We need to do our part in order GOD’s  promises will be realize in our life.

So there’s indeed a secret in the mind of the millionaires.
I will share what i’ve learn so far.

“For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.”

So if you want to be Rich, Think Rich.

Our mind is so powerful that can create our future, so we must be careful on what we feed in our mind, and how we conditioned it.

If a millionaire losses his millions he can recover it as soon as possible and even multiply its value. If a poor person won a million rest assured he will lost it
and become poor again.
So what’s the difference? Millionaires conditioned their minds to earn million while the poor conditioned his mind to eat 3 times a day is enough to get by.

So we need to renew our mind we need to declare this

”TODAY I BEGIN A NEW LIFE”

we need to change our mindset to see results.

Harv Eker said “The Root Creates the Fruit” we need to change the root if we want a better fruit.
So if we are not happy on what we’ve got we need to change in the inside to see a better results on the outside.

On my first day of my journey. I’ve learned physical discipline, exercise, i thought im 100% healthy until i walk with my mentor (master shifu :) ) on a hillside and i almost faint then i realize i spend so much time working and forgetting the very important part of my life my  health.
I’ts seems that i’ve been working hard to have enough finances to renew my health when im sick. That’s sad.

Always consider your health if you want to obtain wealth.

Pangarap sa buhay

It’s been so long since I last wrote about my state of affair.
I had been busy with my work that I always ended up sleeping in front of my monitor.
Sounds like I don’t have enough time to do other things. Ohh! That’s worst.

But I realize each and every one of us has the same number of hours in each day, we got 24 hours a day no more no less.

What a revelation!! What amaze me most, a millionaire has the same amount of my time and yet im not like them ouch! How does that happen?

Hmmm maybe they have excellent time management skills than me or maybe they have less work for a day and earn much.

How did they do that? I think there is something that I need to know.

I been reading books and listened audio books about self-improvement and self-thought on how to reach your pangarap sa buhay and it helps me a lot.

Maybe by learning more, and focus on my dreams is the answer on how the millionaires live their life.

I really thank GOD for giving me a friend who help and guide me and even walk with me towards my dreams. (literally walk hehehe)

The fire from deep within me is now burning with the desire that for the next 90 days of my life, it will be an excellent journey.
